Hi there! Yes bizzy bizzy at the moment. We are decorating princesses room, preparing little prince his room and driving up to hospital several times a day. As I may have told before, I need sewing and quilting to get my thoughts straight and the last couple of evenings – after returning home from hospital – I have been sewing to get my thoughts straight again. I have been finishing the scrappy stars all over blocks, now I want to make heartblocks to go with the star blocks… I also made some oven-mittens but I think I did something wrong; they fit me perfect but… hubby has bigger hands and he complains that the new mittens are to small for his hands! I have run out of insul-bright and since I bought it at a quilt-market I don’t know were to buy the stuff in the Netherlands. But he liked the idea of these mittens and asked me to make some for him too!
Over here in the Netherlands we have a radiostation called radio 2 and they are airing the top-2000 ever at the moment. It is a anual event and it means that we have the radio on every waking moment of the day, even now that I am typing this I am listening to it on-line!  ( click on the link and get a streaming live webcam with the music! )  Lots of oldies and great Dutch songs too, oh how I love to sing along as loud as I can, lololol.

Hugs to all for now

We put up the Christmastree Saturday morning, wanting to have everything normal for my girl and I promised Lars we would put in  a lot of little lights. My princess has made a painted Christmastree for Lars and the nurses in hospital, keeping the fingers crossed they will like it!
Under the Christmastree is my (ugly but very well loved ) Christmasstable. It was a gift from my grandma to my parents when they got married in November 1968. All the figures are made off plastic and well worn, the stable is made of pressed wood and soooooo ugly but the fact that it was a wedding gift to my parents and that my mom had it under her tree for years and years, makes it so special for me.
My dad died by a car accident in 1972, I was born 6 months later in November. My mom died of cancer in 2007 and gave the stable to me a couple of years before. See? it is really something special to me.
I told my girl the story of Christmas and why we celebrate it and she loved the story and my 40 year old ugly Christmas stable….
to her the figurines came to life when I told her the story….

Yep, do I have news for you!

My son is doing great at the moment! he is off the breathing-tube AND the cpap ( little tube under his nose to encourage breathing ) so this means he is breathing on his own now! He also lost his infuus ( a needle in his vain to give him anti-biotic ) He is getting better and better at keeping up his own temperature and he is up to 12 x 20ml food per day now and he weights 1518 grams … all in all it looks very promising!
Keep those prayers coming, they are working!
I will try to take some pictures tomorrow to share with you, for now I want to share a picture with you that I made a couple of days ago, so there will be still lots of tubes and infuus-thingies on him…
